Many people visit the overpopulated beaches of Manly, Cronulla and Bondi. These tourist meccas, while nice enough, are nothing in comparison to the coastal extravaganzas that Australia has to offer. If the beach is what you are after, a simple one hour drive south to the Northern Illawarra Suburbs, or a two hour drive to the South Coast and you will find some of the quietest and most spectacularly beautiful beaches that you will see in your life! So my advice is to skip being another plastic, solarium tanned pea in the soup of a city beach and head for the real thing.
